چکیده

Semantic Tuple Space Coordination for the Semantic Web with Applications in Life Science Peishen Qi 2007 The primary goal of the Semantic Web is to provide a web of data that are accessible and processable by machines. Different communities have started to publish their resources using Resource Description Framework (RDF), RDF Schema (RDFS), or Web Ontology Language (OWL), based on the level of expressiveness suitable for representing the knowledge. This approach inherits the existing Web’s Representational State Transfer (REST) architecture, whose essential principle lies in the state-less publication of information based on a global and persistent URI. The Semantic Web will go beyond just providing common formats for data sharing. Semantic Web-based applications are expected to realize the intelligent functionality enabled by the knowledge representation models and techniques. State-full communication and concurrent data mediation are critical among those applications. The tuple space coordination model provides an open, distributed and scalable framework, and is a suitable middleware for Semantic Web. This dissertation discusses the necessary extensions to the original tuple space and presents a semantic tuple space coordination model. An implementation of the semantic tuple space, YourSpace, is used for biomedical data integration and reasoning. With the implementation of microarray clustering services, we also show how YourSpace enables the intelligent discovery and invocation of Semantic Web services. On the Communication and Coordination Issues of Semantic Web Services using Triple Space Compunting

This thesis will address how to enable Triple Space Computing as a communication paradigm for Semantic Web Services. Currently, Semantic Web Services are following a message based communication paradigm. Triple Space Computing is envisioned as communication and coordination paradigm for Semantic Web Services which is an extension of tuple space computing to support RDF and then use it for commu...

Triple Space Computing: Adding Semantics to Space-Based Computing

Triple Space Computing (TSC) is a very simple and powerful paradigm that inherits the communication model from Tuple Space Computing and projects it in the context of the Semantic Web. In this paper, we propose Triple Space Computing as a new communication and coordination framework for Semantic Web and Semantic Web Services. We identify the value added by TSC and propose the overall architectu...

An Improved Semantic Schema Matching Approach

Schema matching is a critical step in many applications, such as data warehouse loading, Online Analytical Process (OLAP), Data mining, semantic web [2] and schema integration. This task is defined for finding the semantic correspondences between elements of two schemas. Recently, schema matching has found considerable interest in both research and practice. In this paper, we present a new impr...

Towards a Coordination Infrastructure for Pervasive Computing Environment Based on Tuplespace and Semantic Web

Pervasive computing is an emerging computing paradigm, which is expected to be part of our everyday life in the foreseeable future. The coordination among heterogeneous devices, services, and software agents will be vital for ensuring the success of their interactions. Tuplespace (TS) offers a coordination infrastructure for communication. With pervasive computing environment which is character...

A Coordination Model for Triplespace Computing

Recent advances in middleware technologies propose semantics-aware tuplespaces as an instrument for coping with the requirements of scalability, heterogeneity and dynamism arising in highly distributed environments such as the Web or the emerging Semantic Web. In particular, Semantic Web services have inherited the Web service communication model, which is based on synchronous message exchange,...
